Six Ways to Stop Bearing the Weight of the World Alone: The Celtic Vow of Friendship
Hitting record on our sisterhood pow wow, I had a wave of nausea and panic.
Talking about it afterward, Brenda and Carolyn said they felt something similar. Brenda was shaking from an adrenaline rush, and Carolyn had a moment of intense fear.
It felt vulnerable and scary to talk so openly about the bliss and heartbreak of our female friendships.
We realized afterward, we were all afraid of the same thing.
We were afraid of judgement—judgement and jealousy from other women.
Even more reason to put on our big-girl pants and share anyway.
Before you watch the video, have a little fun with it. Use your intuition to choose a number between 1 and 6. Which number hits home for you?
In the comments below, we’d love to hear about a sister-Goddess in your life. Name a woman who has always got your back and loves you unconditionally. Let’s celebrate her—and all our sisters—together.
If you haven’t met her yet, don’t worry because you have all the time in the world. Let Spirit know you’re ready, willing, and available for the kind of friendship that will help you bear the weight of this world.
Love and Peace,
Tamika

Hi you wonderful women! My superwoman is of course my daughter Jackie. No matter how bad she is feeling, her first thoughts are for me.
We adopted a new kitty or I should say he adopted us. I was a bit timid with him (bringing a male into an all female household..people and cats is scary business. Jackie took him under her wing and now I love him too.
Great to hear from you .. keep it coming. Love Donna.

The timing of this... I know you know what I mean...
I had dinner with a new friend last night who was holding space for me letting go of a ten year long ‘best’ friendship. But putting that ‘best’ label isn’t fitting because time doesn’t matter. My new friend of 3 months has honoured me more than she ever did. Number 6 was my number and I know the redirection is for the best, but I’m still disappointed, and wish I didn’t have to let go. I think losing a sister is so hard and that you never actually do energetically- but when the space gets cleared for new truer friends they actually are the ‘best’.
Tamika says
Losing a sister can be so painful, and I hear you that sometimes we never let go energetically. For me, I know I'm healing when I can be at peace about our parting of ways, and see there was likely a good reason for the ending. Sometimes that epiphany takes a long time to drop in. I love that you've got new sisters arriving on the scene and holding space for the next phase of your fabulous life! Love you, xx

I love this so much! I love when Carolyn talks about "no expectations". That really resonated with me. Those are the sister relationships where I feel truly loved and safe. And thank you, Tameka, for making space for my bragging. I appreciate you and your energy so much. So happy the Universe brought us together. Happy I get to feel the warmth of your shining energy.
