Perfectionism, age 44, of Planet Earth died peacefully on September 22 from Sudden Self-Acceptance Syndrome. Born in an attempt to fit in, Perfectionism graduated from the School of Overachievement with a Masters degree in High Expectations. Married to Lowe Selfworth, the couple lived in a small village just outside Approval.
Perfectionism lived a short but active life, contributing meaningfully to her family, friends and community despite never feeling good enough. She worked in many different industries, her close friends Rich Idity & Feara Failure always by her side. Despite her ceaseless people-pleasing, Perfectionism was still visited by Criticism, Rejection and Disapproval. She took solace in nature, working long hours at her successful landscaping business, ‘Outside Appearances.’
Perfectionism is survived by her four children: Good E. Nough of Carefree Arizona; Healthie Misstakes of Bountiful, UT; Pisa Mind of Confidence, AZ; and Let Ting Go of Mount Pleasant, NB.
Funeral arrangements will be made at some later time, in a relaxed way, when the family gets around to it. They are doing what they love at the moment.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to yourself by looking in the mirror and loving what you see. Perfectionism will not be missed, but her lessons will live on in our hearts forever. RIP
This speaks to me on so many levels. Thank you.
This is the funniest and sadest thing I’ve read in quite a while. Truth in humour, they say and I see you at the side bar smiling right through me. I laugh with recognition both inside and outside of me.
